Historical Events

  • The Texas class light cruisers USS Takla Makan (NCC-904), USS Sonora (NCC-907) and USS Taimyr (NCC-920) enter overhaul periods to have their shuttlebays replaced with large deuterium tanks and extensive fuel transfer interfaces, in order to be equipped for use as frontline replenishment tankers.[1]
  • The Texas class light cruiser Labrador (NCC-916) enters an overhaul period to receive a ventrally-carried subspace antenna for long range tactical scans.[1]
  • The Alexandria class freighters are stricken from the SMM's rolls.[2]
The date is dependent upon a period just prior to the Four Years War.
  • The Triumphant sub-class light cruisers are retired from service with Star Fleet.[4]
  • A major Klingon offensive at Zibal is held back because of the perceived proximity of four squadrons of destroyers.[5]
  • The final Icarus class battle cruiser is constructed.[6]
  • USS Navigator (NCC-950) is the first of 23 new-build light cruisers in the vein of the Rub al Khali refit to be constructed; the sub-class is named after her.[7]
  • The final Ishinomaki class fuel transport is completed.[8]
  • The initial 50 Bode class heavy scouts are completed.[9]
The Mayer's replacement will be completed after 2236.
  • USS Charles Kingford Smith (Byrd galactic survey cruiser) departs on her 25-year voyage.[10]
  • Star Fleet reverts the Hunter class' designation back to corvette, as it became apparent that even these rather modestly armed ships might have to be assigned to the Klingon front.[12]
This occurred in the 2230s, but probably not until this year, when Klingon aggression skyrocketed.
  • The last Kuhulkka nearspace patroller class is retired from operations with the Tellarite defense service and sold commercially.[17]
This appears related to the push to remove them from Acamar III.
  • Major mining begins on Thranstor and the construction of fabrication & production facilities starts.[15][19]
Source suggests it had started by 2245 (prior to the five-year offset); SFC sets a hard start date.
  • June: The Taurus sub-class (of the Rochester class cruiser) enters service at Aldebaran.[21]
