Donatu

History

• prior to 2236: Becomes a UFP member/colony/protectorate.
• Late 2229: USS Hercules (NCC-454, Titan) is crippled by Klingon raiders while conducting maneuvers near the planet.
• 2236: Donatu falls to the Klingons.
• February 14, 2242: A team of Donatuan rebels is able to get a subspace message out to the Federation pleading for help, as the planet's people appear to be at the end of their capability to survive the Klingon occupation; Star Fleet takes drastic efforts to relieve the colony.

Notes

• The planet Donatu V is probably not a homeworld, but likely a colony of the Federation (possibly human).

• Game canon: there is some discrepancies in the dates, as Donatu plays an important role in Timo's original dating method of 2218, though I changed the loss to the Klingons (along with 2 other worlds) in 2236. However, Timo specifically names February 14, 2242 as the date a distress call from the Donatu system is received. Changing the date to 2236 is problematic, as the Constitution had not even begun construction by that time. So, instead, I've decided the distress call is well past the time of the Klingon invasion and relates to another issue, final survival of the remaining colonists.
