• The first of the Hermes class scouts begins receiving a refit to Hermes II/Monoceros standards.

• USS Monoceros (NCC-601) begins construction as the first newbuild of the Hermes II/Monoceros scouts.

• The Federation, for the final year, continues to utilize bioagents in attacks on the Klingon agricultural worlds.

• The Mojave sub-class (to Texas refit) light cruiser enters service with Starfleet. The conversion process for USS Mojave (NCC-927) was found to be especially awkward and costly, however, and the funding for a total of thirty refits was instead redirected to 23 new-builds.
