Flag of the United Planets of Tellar

The United Planets of Tellar is the state for the Tellarite civilization, which is centered around their homeworld of Tellar. The alliance was one of the five founding member states of the United Federation of Planets, having signed the Articles of the Federation on 12 August 2161, and is comprised of the thirteen worlds settled by the Tellarites prior to the signing.

History

  • 1807: The tricameral republic Tellarite Technocracy is formed.[1]
  • By 1892: The Tellarites have established colonies within their star system, on Rukor, Sivel, and Varagas, and three of Boragus' moons.[2]
Decipher's Worlds sourcebook says this happened in 1967, but that would invalidate the presence of Tellarites outside their system (as from ENT's "Carbon Creek"), as well as having warp capability in the 1950s.
  • August 03, 2030: First contact between the Tellarites and Rigelian traders, whereby the former learn of the Orions.[4]
  • 2142: The Tellarites rename their government the United Planets of Tellar.[3]

Ship Roster

Based on the Tellarites and Humans stumbling on each other's home system simultaneously, I'm interpreting that as Tellar being not too much more advanced technologically than Earth. Therefore, the following ships will be their best and recent designs.
