Historical Events

  • The Mann class light cruisers receive upgrades to their transporter systems.[1]
  • The Lincoln class frigates receive upgrades to their transporter systems.[2]
  • Funding for production of the Jidai and Pytheas subclasses is slashed to a total of 21 hulls (from 50).[3]
  • Following the start of construction on the 20th Saladin subclass destroyer, further production (on the remaining 26 planned hulls) is canceled, in preparation for the return of a new dilithium-regulated antimatter propulsion system.[4]
  • The last of the original subclass of Ptolemy fleet tug/tenders are completed.[5]
  • Star Fleet issues a request for proposals for a dedicated scout type adaptable for both scientific and military missions. Two months later, an optimized procurement plan was formulated for two distinct types.[6][7]
The Hale filled the Short Range / Proximity Survey mission, while the Bode performed the High Speed / Long Range one.
  • Plans to modernize the Kovaris class destroyers are promulgated. A construction/upgrade agreement is reached with Chiokis to build 20 new Marklin light destroyers and modernize the Kovaris class to the same design.[8]
  • The Podish class scout is no longer active.[9]
Presumably, this is when the Orathal system was renamed to Beta, as well.
  • The last Tuverlind class scoutship is decommissioned.[12]
  • December 18: The Bolians successfully test their first warp ship in the Bolarus system.[13][10]
Memory Beta indicates this occurred in 2127, but with no way to confirm this from the actual ebook, it makes more sense that they developed it a few years (at most) before meeting the Iren, Uzor and Federation, than over 100 years earlier.
