  • "By": Star Fleet reconsiders the construction order for the new heavy frigates to be too large, and cuts the order to 10 Mirandas and 40 Suryas.[1]
  • The future USS Miranda (NCC-1833) concludes a series of post-construction test runs.[1]
  • February: USS Miranda (NCC-1833) is commissioned and enters service with Star Fleet.[1]
  • Construction starts on USS Surya (NCC-1850).[1]
  • The last of the Syracuse sub-class ships receive conversions to the new Siva sub-class standards.[2]
  • The last of the new-build Siva sub-class destroyers is built.[2]
  • The USS Heston, intended as a Richter class cruiser, is instead re-purposed as a battle cruiser.[3]
