Historical Events
- The last of the Syracuse sub-class ships receive conversions to the new Siva sub-class standards.[1]
- The last of the new-build Siva sub-class destroyers is built.[1]
- The USS Heston, intended as a Richter class cruiser, is instead re-purposed as a battle cruiser.[2]
- The first of eight Richter class cruisers enters drydock for an overhaul into the Heston class battle cruiser.[2]

- The final Ashanti class battle cruiser is constructed.[3]
