Historical Events

• The Hippolyta class clipper is retired from service.

• The Capitol class command ships undergo engine overhauls.

• The Broadway class cultural exchange ships undergo engine overhauls.

• The Castor class survey cruisers are stricken from the Starfleet rolls.

• The remaining ships the Caracal class complete their weapons upgrades.

• The Ariadne patrol corvette class (and its subclasses) starts receiving a weapons upgrade.

• The Pointer class corvette is retired from service.

• From this year through 2219, no common Starfleet corvette type is in operation.

• In light of the retirement of the Pointer corvettes, the Alexandria class corvette tenders receive refits that transition them to standard freighters.

• The last of the Trent class light destroyer (both the phase gun and torpedo types) new-builds enters service with Starfleet.

• Starfleet begins to re-organize from its initial chain of command structure (Joint Chiefs of Staff over five branches, split by founding states), to the more task-specific, fully-integrated structure of the modern fleet.
