Historical Events

  • Early: USS Guernsey, the last of the Bode class heavy scouts, is retired.[1]
  • Six mothballed vessels of the Strider class courier/scout are upgraded and re-engined.[2]
  • The original Ptolemy class fleet tug/tenders start to receive their new warp nacelles during scheduled overhauls.[3]
  • USS Penelope (NCC-G1415, Sherman class) falls into Orion hands with a full load of dilithium; a special forces operation to retrieve it is successful.[4]
  • The final Alexis class cargo drone enters service.[4]
  • The ships of the three Rochester sub-classes start undergoing refits.[5]
  • Existing Flight II Loknars start receiving the Flight IIA upgrades.[6]
Loknars of the Flight IA standard will be upgraded to Flight IIA upon the completion of the process for the Flight IIs.
  • The final new-build Flight II Loknar class frigate enters service with Star Fleet.[6]
  • USS Ares (NCC-1650) undergoes a refit.[7]
  • The final T'pari surveyor is completed for the Vulcan Science Directorate.[8]
  • The final Arcadia class fleet tanker/tender is completed.[9]
  • The purchase of further Arcadias in a basic armed transport configuration is considered, but both Logistics Command and SMM decide upon heavier designs.[9]
  • Construction of the Keith class surveyor begins.
The NCC is not yet identified for this vessel.
  • The final Constitution Flight I to be upgraded to Flight II configuration is completed. USS Potemkin (NCC-1711) is the only Constitution to not receive the upgrade; instead, she begins a conversion to the Bonhomme Richard standard. Other Constitution Flight IIs also begin the same conversion.[11]
  • Constitution Flight II heavy cruisers USS Enterprise, USS Farragut, and USS Lexington (NCC-1701, -1702, & -1703, respectively) undergo conversions to the Bonhomme Richard Type 2 configuration.[11]
  • Constitution Flight II heavy cruisers USS Exeter, USS Hood, and USS Intrepid (NCC-1706, -1707, & -1708, respectively) undergo conversions to the Bonhomme Richard Type 3 configuration.[11]
  • Construction begins on the Hopi large survey cruiser class.[12]
