Historical Events
- The Mann class light cruisers receive upgrades to their transporter systems.[1]
- The Lincoln class frigates receive upgrades to their transporter systems.[2]
- Funding for production of the Jidai and Pytheas sub-classes is slashed to a total of 21 hulls (from 50).[3]
- Following the start of construction on the 20th Saladin sub-class destroyer, further production (on the remaining 26 planned hulls) is canceled, in preparation for the return of a new dilithium-regulated antimatter propulsion system.[4]
- The last of the original sub-class of Ptolemy fleet tug/tenders are completed.[5]
- Starfleet issues a request for proposals for a dedicated scout type adaptable for both scientific and military missions. Two months later, an optimized procurement plan was formulated for two distinct types.[6][7]
- The Hale filled the Short Range / Proximity Survey mission, while the Bode performed the High Speed / Long Range one.
