- USS Bombay (NCC-1838, Miranda heavy frigate) is reassigned to Starbase 47.[7]

- Late: The last Star Fleet-variant Achernar heavy cruiser enters service.[12]
- The Sandoval party of 150 settlers arrives on Omnicron Ceti III to establish an agricultural colony. Their subspace radio malfunctions.[13]
- The malfunction is important to understand why authorities believed the colony to have perished.
- End: The final Okinawa light frigate is completed.[14]
