Historical Events

• Early: Construction starts on USS Pyotr Velikiy (NX-1670) at the Salazaar yards above Andor.

Warp speed flight testing began less than 2 years after development began.

• The Texas class light cruisers USS Takla Makan (NCC-904), USS Sonora (NCC-907) and USS Taimyr (NCC-920) complete their overhaul periods and re-enter service as frontline replenishment tankers.

• The Texas class light cruiser Labrador (NCC-916) completes her overhaul period to receive a ventrally-carried subspace antenna for long range tactical scans.

The dates and length of the overhaul period are presumptions, based on the same period and length of the other Texas ships undergoing overhauls.

• Altair, Izar and Melev, and numerous fringe worlds, begin discussions of forming non-Federation ‘defense zones’ inside the Federation.

The year is a best guess, as it occurred after the annexations of Archanis, Cursa and Donatu but prior to the Babel Conference of 2238.

• The last of the Burke and Aldrin sub-class frigates receive a weapons system upgrade.

• The final Wanda sub-class cargo drone (of the Sherman class) is delivered to the Starfleet Merchant Marine.

• Councilman Saldran of Rigel IV leads a campaign of Starfleet black-painting and doomsday predictions.

• The HSI(U)-1S 'Banshee' scout (second variant of the Class G1 heavy warp shuttle) enters service with Starfleet.

• The final Class D3 work pod is removed from service with Starfleet.
