Archanis
History
- 2240s: The UFP retakes, withdraws from, and then again retakes the planet during the Four Years War.[1][2]
- Four Years War (2241-2245): Raiding (by either Federation or Klingons) against base on the planet with "massive concentration of forces".[1]
- 2260s: A Federation research outpost is attacked by unknown raiders (presumed to be Klingons), with the loss of 100 civilians.[2]
- 2293: In a compromise, Archanis IV is given to the Klingons in return for the Klingons ceding all other rights to the Archanis sector.(see notes)[3]
- 2333: The Cardassian Union attacks Klingon assets in the Archanis system.[4]
- 2352: The Treaty of Alliance (between the Klingons and UFP) cedes the planet back to the Federation.(see notes)[2][5][6]
- 2373: Chancellor Gowron demands Archanis IV be ceded to the Klingon Empire as a condition of the cessation of the war. (The results are unknown.)[2]
Notes
- The planet Archanis IV is probably not a homeworld, but likely a colony of the Federation (possibly human).
- The UFP's return of Archanis IV to the Klingons as a part of the 2293 Khitomer Accords is supposition, based upon the need to have it in Klingon hands when the Cardassians attack it in 2333. We do know the Klingons ceded rights to the sector at the time.
- The date of the Treaty of Alliance is a guesstimate, from the DS9 episode "The Way of the Warrior"; this year is supported by LUG's unpublished Klingon sourcebook. The ceding yet again of Archanis IV back to the UFP is necessary for its raiding by the Klingons in 2372.
