Historical Events
- The last of the Stuart class transport, specifically the Siebel (FC-100) subclass, was withdrawn from Starfleet service.[1]
- USS Icarus II (NCC-263), Placido class surveyor, is the first to establish contact with a winged – and, indeed, truly airborne – sentient humanoid species on a Virginis II.[3]
- Reports of significant fatigue of the Caracal class pylon arrangement are received by ships with an operational status of three years.[4]
- USS Horizon (NCC-1000), first of its class, enters service with Starfleet. Seventeen more are ordered and funded, with the first ones to be completed in 2196.[5]
- Before the Advance subclass was ordered, 18 were funded; the total was increased to 26 with the Advances.
- Starfleet orders 8 of a variant of the Sentinel class, known as the Armstrong scout cruiser subclass. Construction starts on the first vessel.[6]
- Date of order is presumed to be 4 years prior to first delivery, as was with the Sentinel class.
- The Engineering Division is now planning ship classes two generations ahead of the current Fleet assets.[7]
