- The USS Napoleon represents an experiment at a new type of carrier.[4]
- The Mojave sub-class light cruisers are tasked with an intense hunt for Orion pirates and slave traders.[5]
- mid-decade: Civilian freighters begin a series of convoy exercises with Starfleet in preparation for such operations.[7]
- The remaining San Francisco class cutters (formerly Lincoln class frigates) are retired and scrapped.[8]
- Some decommissioned Independences are turned into commercial cargo drones.[7]
