Historical Events

  • The colony world of Prairie is attacked by Klingon forces.[1]
Its status as a colony is conjecture.
  • The final Burke & Aldrin Flight II frigates receive the weapons system upgrade to Flight IV status.[2]
  • The Apache class heavy destroyers begin conversion to intelligence scouts.[3]
  • The three variants of the Rochester class cruiser complete production.[4]
  • An upgrade to the Bode class heavy scouts is proposed.[5]
  • USS Ulysses (NCC-I814, Sawyer class light scout) proves that the Klingon threat has not receded by stumbling to an extensive attempt to influence Prime Directive-protected planets inside Federation territory.[6]
  • USS Brazzaville and USS Providence, both Nelson class, are lost to Tholian-associated forces in separate incidents.[7]
  • Construction of a second batch of Cochranes begins, using the PB-31 nacelle.[8]
  • USS Cortez (NCC-1834, Miranda class heavy frigate) is lost to the Vulcanoids of Darien 224.[9]
  • The final Aakenn Flight I heavy transport is completed.[10]
  • USS Achilles (NCC-1248, Benning subclass heavy frigate) is destroyed in the Battle of Theta Kalyb with all but 53 of her crew.[11]
  • Late: The decommissioning schedule for the Detroyat class heavy cruisers is prepared.[14]
The schedule's placement in 2254 is to meet the wording of the text and it also allows for the ships to be 'saved', sent to drydock and receive their overhauls.
  • Late: The Bode class upgrade proposal is withdrawn.[5]
  • Late: The Westminster subclass heavy transport begins production.[10]
