Historical Events
- Early: The Surya hybrid USS Noshiro (NCC-1885) is completed.[1]
- The source material can be found in Guide: Miranda.
- The final Horizon class heavy cruiser is stricken from Star Fleet's registry.[2][3]
- Most A6 LSA(P)-44 'Sauk' light atmospheric shuttles had been withdrawn from service.[4]
- The UFP brings the Humans of Polar City (and other colonies on Rigel IV) into its jurisdiction (but not membership), in order to provide protection.[5]
- Background material is per the Star Trek Roleplaying Game, Book 7: Worlds. There's no mention of other races falling under UFP auspices.
- The B5 HSA(P/C)-20 'Chippewa' heavy atmospheric shuttle is withdrawn from service aboard starships, though continues in planetary assignments, especially at outposts.[7]
- USS Siva (NCC-520, Siva subclass) is the first of 51 ships to start receiving refit to the Siva Flight II configuration.[8]
- The first of the Saladin subclass ships to receive the Siva Flight II refit enters drydock.[8]
- Star Fleet decides to modify eight of the Monoceros vessels (NCC-608-615) into the Siva Flight II destroyer standard.[9]
- The first of the Monoceros subclass ships to receive the Siva Flight II refit, USS Lynx, enters drydock and is re-named USS Indianola.[8][9]
- USS Cassegrain (NCC-I429) is hijacked by renegade Andorians, who set the crew adrift and disappear to parts unknown with cargo holds full of various weapons components.[10]
- Some Freedom class medium transports are refitted.[11]
- Construction starts on over forty Capella class surveyors / supply ships (of the Mark II type); seventeen Mark Is are refitted to the same standard.[12]
- The refitted ships maintained the ventral hardpoint, which the new-builds did not receive.
- USS Bodiri (NCC-2717, Loknar class frigate), of the AIG, sees action against Lesser Orion pirates, thwarting an invasion of a prime directive-protected class L world in the Secundi Bahia system.[13]
- The first run of Loknar class frigates having been delivered to the AIG, follow-on new builds (numbering 13) enter service with Star Fleet.[13]
- Aakenn class heavy transports enter the yards for a transporter upgrade.[14]
- The Finch subclass buoy tender begins production.[15]
- End of year: The last of the six unmodified Baton Rouge class heavy cruisers, from USS Philadelphia (NCC-1425) to USS Astrakhan (NCC-1430), are retired and mothballed.[16]
- This occurred prior to 2250.
