Historical Events

  • The Placido class scouts are stricken from Star Fleet rolls.[1]
  • The final Agni subclass (of the Ariadne) patrol corvette is completed.[2]
The years of production are mostly conjecture.
  • USS Boston (NCC-425) is the first of three of the Syracuse subclass to start conversion to the destroyer leader configuration of the Einstein subclass.[4]
  • All current ships within the Syracuse family class start receiving the latest transporter upgrades.[4]
  • The Chiokis Corporation has promised this year for the delivery of the first manned full-scale testbed for the starship drive system.[5]
  • The Amchitka class light cruiser enters service with Star Fleet.[5]
  • The first ships of the Bode class perform in tests of the High Speed / Long Range engines.[6]
At least the Bode and Mayer appear to have been constructed for tests, but sixteen (15, minus Mayer) ships had been constructed by 2232, when the class is commissioned.
  • Design work is completed on a new heavy survey cruiser design; construction on USS Richard Evelyn Byrd (NCC-1381) begins.[7]
  • Star Fleet realizes the problems the Bode scoutship project is facing are formidable and potentially crippling to the overall intelligence gathering effort.[8]
  • This is the last year in which the Class G2 / HSI(U)-2 'Greyhound' heavy warp shuttle is the primary warp liaison vessel within Star Fleet.[9]
  • Mid: Star Fleet informs Salazar Fleet Builder to cease construction of the final 2 (of six) Amchitka light cruisers. The Andorians protest.[5]
  • Late: Star Fleet announces an order for forty ships of a variant of the Amchitka light cruiser from Terran and Martian yards. Mass protests erupt on Andor, as a result.[5]
  • December: USS Rub al Khali (NCC-926, Texas class) is relaunched, following its overhaul into what will be the Navigator subclass.[10]
