History
- prior to 2236: becomes a UFP member/colony/protectorate.
- 2236: Archanis falls to the Klingons.[1]
- 2240s: The UFP retakes, withdraws from and then again retakes the planet during the Four Years War.[1][2]
- 2260s: A Federation research outpost is attacked by unknown raiders (presumed to be Klingons), with the loss of 100 civilians.[2]
- 2272: In the Treaty of Organia, the Klingons cede their claim to the planet.[2]
- 2293: In a compromise, Archanis IV is given to the Klingons in return for the Klingons ceding all other rights to the Archanis sector.(see notes)[3]
- 2333: The Cardassian Union attacks Klingon assets in the Archanis system.[4]
- 2352: The Treaty of Alliance (between the Klingons and UFP) cedes the planet back to the Federation.(see notes)[2][5]
- 2372: Archanis IV is raided by the Klingons during the Klingon-Federation War.[2]
- 2373: Chancellor Gowron demands Archanis IV to be ceded to the Klingon Empire as a condition of the cessation of the war. (The results are unknown.)[2]
