Historical Events

  • Construction begins on the first Amymone subclass (of the Ariadne) patrol corvette.[1]
The years of production are mostly conjecture.
  • The final fighter wings employing the Bearcat variants of the Big Cat sublight fighter are disbanded; the fighter is retired.[2]
  • The final Valkyr sub-class shuttlecarrier is decommissioned.[3]
  • The final Apache class heavy destroyer is decommissioned.[4]
  • The final Ishinomake class fuel transport is decommissioned.[5]
  • Klingon hostilities peak.[6]
  • Star Fleet experiences difficulty in integrating the Rochesters into the C3I network, as well as identifying enough ready spares of the Mk 2-3 triple torpedo launcher for the primary (Rochester) variants.[6]
  • USS Ball (NCC-I691, Flagstaff scout drone) distinguishes herself by rescuing the crew of prospector SS Malverne.[7]
  • The final Class B6 / HSA-64 "Apache" heavy atmospheric/spatial shuttle is removed from service with Star Fleet.[8]
  • The Miranda subclass heavy frigates begin receiving upgrades.[9]
  • The Federation class dreadnoughts enter a heightened operational readiness, in anticipation of Klingon hostilities; they'll practice offensive, as well as defensive, maneuvers until mid-2267 and the abortive Klingon invasion.[10]
  • The final resources are allocated for cruiser-sized vessels solely for exploratory purposes.[11]
From fiscal-year 2262.
  • Star Fleet’s commitment to the exploratory mission continues the beginning of its waning.[11]
Awkward sentence is because the period of it beginning to wane existed over two years, starting in 2265.
  • The Flights II of the Bader class exploratory cruiser complete their assembly (or upgrades).[11]
  • The Centaurus class courier/scouts have their hull numbers re-categorized as "couriers" (NCC-D), from their original "intelligence" status (NCC-I).[12]
Timo indicates is happens, but now when.
The FCS still uses the ones they have.
  • Star Fleet begins acquiring the Fikaru cargo and Chisu light shuttlepods.[15]
  • USS Oberth (NCC-616), lead ship for the new science scout class, enters operational service with Star Fleet.[16]
  • The Ruling Council is formed and Maran, leader of clan Shova, is named Sovereign of Acamar III.[17]
  • The Type 401 Harbor Tug enters service with Star Fleet, assigned to starbases, spacedocks, construction yards, and similar environments.[19]
  • Early: The Flight II variant of the Epsilon cutter enters production.[20]
  • July 4th: A lone Romulan warbird conducts stealth attacks on the Federation side of the neutral zone, destroying four outposts before destroying itself.[23][21]
The incident concluded on July 9th.
  • After Romulan incursion: Strategic thinking regarding a new destroyer design shifts towards being able to counter the emerging Romulan threat.[24]
  • Mid: Construction is completed on the last Achernar export heavy cruiser.[25]
  • August: Star Fleet signs orders five productions runs of 24 Griffon class escorts each from Empress, to be produced at their Morena yards.[26]
  • October: The Bolarus Summit convenes; Romulan emissaries seek trade and show contrition, while shipping halts along the Barolian highway for a week due to economic shocks.[27]
  • End: The Griffon escort class begins production at Morena.[26]
