In SFC, this event is most likely apocryphal.

• The shipyards used in the construction of the Triton class are freed up (suggesting that the last ship in the third production run was commissioned at that time).

• March: Earth is attacked by a Xindi superweapon from the Delphic Expanse, launched by the Xindi. The attack decimates a large area between Florida and Venezuela, killing seven million people.

• 24 April: Explorer UESS Enterprise (NX-01) returns to Earth.

• 24 April: The UESS Intrepid (Triton heavy destroyer), in the first major human-Klingon naval confrontation, challenged and defeated three Klingon Birds of Prey.

The successful outcome of the battle is assumed, based on the context of the image text.

• The first refitting of select Triton heavy destroyers concludes this year.
