• March: Earth is attacked by a Xindi superweapon from the Delphic Expanse, launched by the Xindi. The attack decimates a large area between Florida and Venezuela, killing seven million people.

• 24 April: USS Enterprise (NX class) returns to Earth.

• 24 April: The USS Intrepid (Triton class), in the first major human-Klingon naval confrontation, challenged and defeated three Klingon Birds of Prey.
