Historical Events

  • The final Broadway class cultural exchange ship, USS Huron, is retired from service.[1]
  • The last Sentinel class scout cruisers receive their new transporters.[2]
  • Construction begins on the first Allowat Sakima subclass (of the Ariadne) patrol corvette.[3]
The years of production are mostly conjecture.
  • The Trent class light destroyer (both the phase gun and torpedo types) is retired from service with Star Fleet.[4]
  • The final ships of the Ranger cruiser sub-classes receive their 2241 upgrade.[5]
  • The Baton Rouge class heavy destroyers receive an upgrade.[6]
  • The decommissioning of the Hale class scouts begins.[7]
  • The final Mojave sub-class light cruiser is completed.[8]
  • A series of aggressive incidents by the Klingons begins, impacting multiple Nelson class scouts and rearranging Star Fleet priorities.[9][10]
This series continues through 2250.
  • USS Morgan City (NCC-2704, Loknar frigate) falls prey to a Klingon strike, is captured and repaired, and adopted as part of the Klingon forces.[11]
The use of the ship to lure "UFP freighters to their doom" and the eventual three-month hunt for the pirate vessel probably began after 2246.
  • A period of time, that lasts until 2265, begins wherein there is very little direct, coordinated military action against Klingon forces, due to a decrease in the intensity and coherence of their piracy raids.[11]
  • USS Noshiro (NCC-1885), nominally of the Surya heavy frigate subclass, is completed.[12]
  • Shintoi Heavy Industries fine-tunes its heavy transport proposal into a mighty military machine quite on par with the combat starships of the era.[13]
Soon thereafter, Star Fleet requested serious alterations to the plan, including a variant of the intended nacelle and the capacity for troops.
  • The Aakenn class heavy transport enters production.[13]
  • Three additional vessels are added to the production order for the Coventry class strike frigate.[14]
