2254

Historical Events

• The colony world of Prairie is attacked by Klingon forces.

Its status as a colony is conjecture.

• The last of the Burke, Aldrin and Magellan sub-class frigates (and scout cruisers) receive a weapons system upgrade.

• The Apache class heavy destroyers begin conversion to intelligence scouts.

• The three variants of the Rochester class cruiser complete production.

• An upgrade to the Bode class heavy scouts is proposed.

• Late: The decommissioning schedule for the Detroyat class heavy cruisers is prepared.

The schedule's placement in 2254 is to meet the wording of the text and it also allows for the ships to be 'saved', sent to drydock and receive their overhauls.

• Late: The Bode class upgrade proposal is withdrawn.

New Technology

• Class 2 Cloaking Device
