• A publicity regatta held at Starbase 22 is attended by USS Sami (NCC-742, Venture class) and the newly overhauled USS Tarhe (NCC-745, Cahuya class).

• The Venture class light cruisers are stricken from Starfleet's rolls.

• The thirteenth ship of the Ranger sub-class receives the final planned overhaul to 2228 standards.

The remaining original Rangers (3 in Timo-canon) are not overhauled.

• The last of the Hale class scouts is constructed.

• The construction of 23 additional light cruisers in the vein of the Rub al Khali refit are ordered.
