History

  • 1867: Tellarite astronaut Ranx becomes the first of his species to enter the atmosphere of another planet (Thenar).[1]
He died when his spacecraft crashed on the planet.
Colonies are established on Rukor, Sivel, and Varagas, as well as on three of Boragus' moons and both moons of Prime.
  • 2218: A Tellarite nationalist group, similar to Earth First, starts to gain support, due in part to increasing Klingon hostility.[3]
  • Prior to 2246: Star Fleet reserves a number of ship construction facilities for the Aakeen class heavy transport.[4]
  • Early 2370s: A vein of uridium is discovered on the floor of an ocean.[5]

Important Locations

  • Imprek University
Possibly named after the world or a famous person.[5]

Important Distances

Notes

  • This system is the location of the Tellarite homeworld, Tellar Prime.
  • Thenar is the only terrestrial planet unsettled. It was too difficult to terraform or otherwise settle and the mining operations once established there are no longer operational.[1]
