Historical Events
- In a Pyrrhic victory, USS Akula (NCC-275), a Placido class scout, is lost following combat against Klingons at the Battle of Arquin Pillar.[1][2]
- USS Audace (Caracal class) falls victim to unknown enemies – most likely prey to Klingon disruptor cannon. The disappearance of the Audace was only noticed months after the fact; no flight recorder marker was found.[3]
- June 18: A Federation-flagged mining ship, Castro, is destroyed in the Sussmen-MacFarlene system's asteroid belt by a Klingon D5.[4]
- In response to the destruction of Castro, the UFP levies sanctions against the Klingon Empire and establishes mandatory trade treaty reviews with all non-UFP states that also do business with the Klingons.[4]
