Historical Events

  • The final Homa Bay vessel of the Roanoke class transports is retired. When her reactors are shut down, dismantling crews cut off, decontaminate and polish for display a section of the inner reactor casing personally signed by Zephram Cochrane himself.[1]
  • USS Tarhe (NCC-745, Cahuya class) is retired.[2][3]
  • USS Sami (NCC-742, Cahuya class) is retired.[2][3]
  • Construction begins on the first vessel of the third production run of the Ahaw Kin subclass (of the Ariadne) reconnaissance corvette.[4]
The years of production are mostly conjecture.
  • The two remaining Nordenskiöld sub-class light cruisers complete an upgrade period.[5]
  • The final Class B8 / HSA(P/C)-25 / Type 25 / C37C 'Rhino' heavy atmospheric/spatial shuttle is removed from active service with Starfleet and relegated to reserve duty.[6]
  • The Constitution class heavy cruiser (including that of the Bonhomme Richard and Victory subclasses) is formally stricken from the Star Fleet Starship Register.
It is possible that the last ship actually converted to an upgraded class, which is why it is not mentioned they are individually decommissioned.
