Historical Events

The year of production is mostly conjecture.
  • An expeditionary reinforcement flotilla, consisting of eight Kovarises, two scouts of the Apache subclass and a single cruiser-tender of the Texas class, visits Rigel V.[5]
  • The Valkyr class shuttlecarrier begins the first of many yard periods for electronic upgrades.[6]
  • The Burke class nearspace frigate enters service with Starfleet.[7]
  • USS Burke (NCC-1600) nearspace frigate begins class trials.[7]
  • Starfleet gives the go-ahead for a Mk II version of the Burke, designated as the Aldrin sub-class deep space frigate, starting with hulls already under construction.[7]
  • Starfleet decides to field a large number of medium transports based on modern warp technology.[8]
