Historical Events

  • The USS Laing (SV-53) is lost on an arctic assignment to an alien force only much later identified as the Borg.[1][2]
In SFC, this event is most likely apocryphal.
  • The shipyards used in the construction of the Triton class are freed up (suggesting that the last ship in the third production run was commissioned at that time).[3]
  • March: Earth is attacked by a Xindi superweapon from the Delphic Expanse, launched by the Xindi. The attack decimates a large area between Florida and Venezuela, killing seven million people.[4][5][6]
  • 24 April: USS Enterprise (NX class) returns to Earth.[4][7]
  • 24 April: The USS Intrepid (Triton class), in the first major human-Klingon naval confrontation, challenged and defeated three Klingon Birds of Prey.[3]
