Historical Events

  • The UESS Laing (SV-53) is lost on an arctic assignment to an alien force only much later identified as the Borg.[1][2]
In SFC, this event is most likely apocryphal.
  • The shipyards used in the construction of the Triton class are freed up (suggesting that the last ship in the third production run was commissioned at that time).[3]
  • March: Earth is attacked by a superweapon from the Delphic Expanse, launched by the Xindi. The attack decimates a large area between Florida and Venezuela, killing seven million people.[5][6][7]
  • 24 April: Explorer UESS Enterprise (NX-01) returns to Earth.[5][8]
  • 24 April: The UESS Intrepid (Triton heavy destroyer), in the first major human-Klingon naval confrontation, challenges and defeats three Klingon Birds of Prey.[3]
The successful outcome of the battle is assumed, based on the context of the image text.
  • The first refitting of select Triton heavy destroyers concludes this year.[3]
  • Select Triton heavy destroyers begin another refitting, that would continue through 2154.[3]
  • The Discovery class scouts start receiving warp system upgrades.[9]
  • The Ganges class destroyers start receiving Mk I shipboard transporters.[10]
  • The fourth ship of the Edison class enters service with the UESF.[11]
  • Andorian battle cruiser Kumari engages in the hunt for the Xindi civilization.[12]
  • Construction begins on the first of the Mars light torpedo destroyer subclass.[13]
  • UESS Strachan (ND-610), a torpedo variant of the Cavalry class light destroyer, enters service with the UESF.[13]
  • The final Cavalry class light phase gun destroyer is completed.[13]
  • The final Strachan subclass light torpedo destroyer is completed.[13]
