The membership in the Federation originally came from the Federation Space fan campaign, based upon a FASA RPG first encounter (in 2282).
  • The last of the Ptolemy class fleet tug/tenders is decommissioned.[5]
  • USS Republic (NCC-1371, Constitution heavy cruiser) is again deactivated.[6]
