History

  • 2154: The Bolians enter their space age.[1]
  • 2170: The Bolians start a colony on their fourth moon, Rim.[1][2]
  • December 18, 2227: The Bolians successfully test their first warp ship in the Bolarus system.[3][1]
Memory Beta indicates this occurred in 2127, but with no way to confirm this from the actual ebook, it makes more sense that they developed it a few years (at most) before meeting the Iren, Uzor and Federation, than over 100 years earlier.
  • 2231: The Iren and Uzor, two species each located about 4 light-years from Bolorus and decades into a prolonged war, individually initiate contact with different Bolian nations. These encounters eventually influence the Bolians to take sides, engaging in their own war that tends to be limited mostly to the oceans of Boliax.[2][4][1]
Year is SFC-canon.
  • 2252: The Federation makes first contact with the Bolians, after detecting warp trials in the Bolarus system. This interaction with a non-aggressive and diverse culture positively influences the warring factions to develop a peaceful solution to their role in the Iren-Uxor war.[2][4]
  • 2260: The United Federation of Planets rejects the membership bid by Boliax, claiming the Bolians remain unstable. The new planetary government, the World Council, will have to survive the coming of a new generation for the Bolians to prove their commitment to world peace.[1]
The year is SFC-canon, presumed to occur in a short time after first contact, but enough time to allow the planet to meet minimal membership requirements.
  • 2261: The plight of Uzor becomes apparent to the people of Boliax: it will be uninhabitable in less than a decade. Solar instability threatens to wipe out the entire Uzor system.[4][1]
The date of this awareness is SFC-canon.
  • 2262: Boliax develops and initiates an assistance plan for the people of Uzor: mass colonization of a nearby planet for the Uzorian refugees.[2][4][1]
The date of this plan is SFC-canon.
The membership is SFC-canon.

Important Locations

  • Bolarus Prime Shipyard (Boliax): initially constructed to build the ships necessary to evacuate the Uzor system[1]

Notes

  • The is the home system of the Bolians.
  • The system names for the planets and the orbit numbers do not match up with any one source. Worlds ((Decipher) indicated there were 16 planets, while Planets of the UFP (Last Unicorn Games) numbered them as 13, with names. To satisfy both, I've counted the two indicated asteroid belts as planets (as is already SFC-canon) and added a third one, getting the quantity to 16.
