History
- Memory Alpha has it shortly before or in 2104; SFC has it pegged in that year.
- 2115: Vulcans establish a colony on Berengaria VII.[2]
- November 08, 2155: The newly-operational United Earth Starbase One and the Vulcan science outpost on Berengaria VII are obliterated by two squadrons of Romulan fighters that avoided notice by the system's Vulcan warp detection system.. USS Discovery, responding to the outpost's automated distress signal, is lost when the Romulans blind her sensors with nuclear weapons. The crew is able to transmit the attackers' details as they abandoned ship.[3]
- April 02, 2156: Starfleet launches an assault on Berengaria VII, resulting in victory at the cost of hundreds of MACOs and no intel on the Romulan enemy.[4][2]
- 2173: Berengaria VII joins the United Federation of Planets.[2]

Notes
- Earth colony system; has 13 occupied orbits, where VI and VII are inhabitable planets and all others are filled by large asteroids.
- SFC has United Earth Starbase One attacked by the Romulans shortly after its construction was completed. One source (Spaceflight Chronology) has it operational for eight years, but that is not adopted here.
- Many sources suggest Starbase 1 was ground-based (on Berengaria VII), which is counter to SFC's plan to have starbases as literal space stations. However, it appears that its construction and following destruction could allow for a replacement to be built, following the war. For that reason, it might make sense to name these initial starbases as "United Earth Starbase #", allowing for the easy pivot to Federation starbases.
- StarTrekMap.com (the site, not the pdf) has two systems named Berengaria, one close by to Sol in the Beta quadrant, the other more distant in the Alpha quadrant. Star Trek Star Charts appears to support the latter, but for the purposes of the early Romulan War, SFC is going with the Beta location.
