24th Fleet

Twenty-fourth Fleet is a support fleet, serving as an administrative oversight for the active reserves ships assigned under its aegis. Originally established to oversee all Star Fleet starships assigned to the reserves, in 2362, with the formation of 25th Fleet, it saw it's assigned strength reduced by about 50%, and then similarly reduced again with the formation of the 26th and 27th Fleets. At this point, it oversees all reserve ships rimward/spinward of Sol (essentially in the direction of Alpha Cygni). While 24th Fleet HQ often directs exercises of its subordinate commands, to keep relevant skills sharp, it releases individual ships to their assigned gaining fleet, when directed by Star Fleet Command.

It was formed in 2357.
