26th Fleet

Twenty-sixth Fleet is a support fleet, serving as an administrative oversight for the active reserve ships assigned under its aegis. Originally established to oversee all Star Fleet starships coreward/antispinward of Sol (essentially in the direction of the Delta Quadrant), it saw it's assigned strength reduced by about 8% with the formation of the 27th Fleet. While 26th Fleet HQ often directs exercises of its subordinate commands, to keep relevant skills sharp, it releases individual ships to their assigned gaining fleet, when directed by Star Fleet Command.

It was formed in 2368.
