• The first recorded attempt of piracy on a Watt class fleet tanker/transport occurs, and is foiled.

• The reemergence of the possible Romulan threat guarantees the full funding of the Caracal class.

• Construction begins on the prototype of the Horizon class heavy cruiser.

• Star Fleet decides upon a down-scaled version of CWD’s PB-18 "Perth" nacelle, the PB-17, for its new scout cruiser.

• Construction begins of the first Sentinel class scout cruiser.

• The Luna Shipyards are opened, in orbit of Luna.

• August: The first class of cadets at Star Fleet Academy (Monchezke) convenes.
