Subspace rupture

An interstellar phenomenon that acts as a “bridge” between normal space and a particular subspace layer. It is known that certain unspecified types of detonations can create the events, though they can also be created naturally. Theoretically, pulse wave detonations can seal subspace ruptures, but the exact procedure for doing so has not been realized. Subspace ruptures have the Interstellar Phenomena Classification of NMU.
