History

  • March 10, 2156: Following a warning by the Vulcan warp detection system, Andoria is attacked by a Romulan bird-of-prey. The Romulan ship is destroyed by the self-destruction of the USS Challenger (in avoidance of capture by boarding), though the atmosphere of the planet is now wracked by ion storms as a result.[6][7]
  • 2217: Tritanium-hulled ship construction, including that of the Ranger and Triumphant sub-classes, begins in the Procyon and Alpha Centauri systems.[8]
  • 2218: An Andorian nationalist group, similar to Earth First, starts to gain support, due in part to increasing Klingon hostility.[9]
  • 2340s: Persistent negotiations finally lead to the re-absorption of the Landorian fringe group into Andorian society. This leads to an increase of secessionist demands by other groups on Andor.[10]
