History

  • 2183: Izar colony is started.[1]
  • 2183: Izar joins the UFP.[1]
  • 2237: Izar is one of several members to express interest in forming separate ‘defense zones’ inside the Federation.[2]
  • between 2238 & 2240: Withdraws from the UFP.[2]
  • 2260: Rejoined the UFP.[2][3]

Notes

  • Izar withdrew at some point after the Babel Conference of 2238 and before the end of the Four Years War, as the system rejoined (according to the source) in the 2260s.
  • The 2260 date is a best guess. The source indicates they were the first of three systems to rejoin the Federation in the 2260s.
  • As Garth of Izar commanded the Constitution at Axanar in 2241, it is safe to say that he remained a citizen of the Federation after the secession of his home planet a few years earlier.
