History FASA, David George ‘Crucible'

A Wilkerson at full speed could credibly accompany a dreadnought on a typical combat sortie. Maneuverability at warp was quite limited, however, and the design was further handicapped at impulse by the excess mass of the dual coils. Thus, USS Ganju Lama (NCC-4709) here maintains a respectful separation from the dreadnought Sussex even in an obvious publicity picture pose.
