• The Capitol class deep space command ships are retired from service.

• The Trent (and Kovaris sub-class) class light destroyers start to receive warp nacelle upgrades.

• USS Robuste (NX-397), a prototype shuttlecarrier, enters testing service with Star Fleet.

• Late August: Beckerman-Fusai MHG Corporation gets Star Fleet approval for a cheaper version of the Warp 4 engine, as well as a name (PB-26) assigned to it, and gets a spaceframe for the test model.
