Historical Events
- February: The Subcommittee for Logistics and Trade submits (to the UFP Council) its proposal for an organization dedicated to mercantile operations under the general Starfleet command structure.[1]
- March 16: The Starfleet Merchant Marine is founded.[1]
- The Intrepid and the Fearless (both Triton class) are retired, when they are declared to be in non-serviceable condition.[2]
- Starfleet orders all dilithium-regulated reactors shut down for an indefinite period of reassessment.[3]
- The USS Victory's trials are halted and the vessel is eventually mothballed.[4]
