Historical Events

  • As it nears formal completion, the Memory Alpha complex is heavily disrupted, and all personnel killed, during an assault by the Zetarians.[1]
  • USS Enterprise (NCC-1701, Constitution heavy cruiser) hunts down and forces the surrender of the Orion murderers of four of the crew of the Honor subclass transport USS Huron (NCC-F1913).[2]
  • The eight surviving Amchitkas are placed on ‘active standby’ (i.e., idling on core world piers with minimal supervision crews), until converted in 2285.[3]
  • USS Enterprise accidentally enters an interspatial anomaly in the Delta Triangle region and locates the derelict USS Bonaventure (NX-B1) among hundreds of other lost spacecraft of varying origin. Enterprise is unable to contact nor rescue the test vehicle.[4]
  • The 2265 upgrade period for the Surya subclass heavy frigates completes.[6]
  • Persistent reports regarding the lack of Organian interference towards Klingon aggression are made by Star Fleet captains, from this year through 2284.[7]
  • Hopi class large survey cruiser USS Aliquippa disappears into the Delta Triangle; only one (manned) long-range shuttle from her complement is recovered.[8]
  • Construction begins on the first Mk II variant of the Mo'Kal class light fleet tug.[9]
  • The three export Achernar heavy cruisers XXS Naxu Thain, XXS Tezanha and XXS Sathiyaxa, previously sold to the Xindi, are reacquired by Star Fleet and renamed USS John F. Kennedy, USS Tao Feng and USS Surak, respectively.[10]
  • Shipyards at Rigel complete construction on three Defender class battleships: USS Arizona, USS Rodger Young and USS Yamato.[11]
  • Construction on Defender class battleships USS Dataphda and USS Divine Wind is completed.[11]
The withdrawal is presumed, though the following war referenced in the CoE ebook, "Signs From Heaven".
  • A civil war breaks out on Ardana, lasting 10 years.[12]
  • The USS Bader, USS Clifton, and USS Tombaugh (Bader class exploratory cruisers) host a series of Sagan Award recipients for the second year, while the USS Akela and USS Crescent retrace old survey routes.[15]
This occurs through 2274.
  • The last of dozens of resource findings of crucial economic importance to the Federation are made by prospectors operating Sulek and Velikovski vessels between 2253 and now.[16]
  • Star Fleet withdraws the final orbital-capable Benares hoppers from starships.[17]
  • Carter Winston's private Questor runabout, the SY Cybil Mae (NDG-22821), is recovered near the Romulan neutral zone.[18]
  • The final Class F3 light shuttle is produced.[19]
  • The AIG begins employing the fifth variant of their Lenthall class destroyer.[20]
  • The first new-build Ranger Flight II couriers are acquired by Star Fleet.[21]
  • USS Hanson (NCC-2309, Chandley class strike frigate) conducts a counter-raid against two renegade Gorn cruisers.
  • A boarding party from USS Monson (NCC-2302, Chandley class strike frigate) meets a grisly fate aboard a Klingon vessel.[23]
  • USS Baudin (Chandley class strike frigate) is lost in the Kastela campaign.[23]
  • Mid to late: A mockup of the Brenton Flight II command ships is constructed in orbit of Earth, for training the command crews.[24]
  • Late year: The last Ranger light cruiser, USS Duncan (NCC-793), is retired.[25]
  • The last ten of the (ancient) Homa Bay subclass navigational trainers begins the decommissioning process.[26]
The decommissionings occur about once a year, with the final one, for USS Frost Ridge, taking place in 2279.
