Historical Events
- Due to the heavy casualties suffered by the Romulans in the Battle of Cheron the previous year, they were amicable to a compromise that included few territorial gains or losses, and dictated no reparations whatsoever by either side. The war was ended by acknowledging the sovereignty of the Romulans within a carefully defined column of space, and that of the humans outside that volume, with an impermeable and eternal barrier erected between.[1]
