Cheron

• located in the 83 Leonis system

Notes

• This is a conundrum: Star Charts has two Cherons, one in the vicinity of Romulus (Digicron or Omnicron Gruis), the other (83 Leonis) much further rimward in what is now Federation space. To me, it has always been known to be located near Romulus, but Timo and the ENT novels indicate that 83 Leonis is both the final battle of the Romulan war (in a version that is more historically interesting) and the homeworld of the Cheron natives, from which the two survivors from the TOS episode "Let That Be Your Last Battlefield" were from.

I'm tempted to re-name the rimward one simply "83 Leonis", reserving "Cheron" for the one in Romulan space. However, there is something more interesting about having it represent territory that was lost by the Romulans with the treaty and it resolves the issue of going into Romulan space in 2268 in order to return Bele & Lokai to their home.

I'm postponing the decision until a later time.
