Historical Events
- The ten 'newest' Venture class light cruisers receive overhauls to beef up their propulsive capabilities (and fall into the Cahuya new sub-class, accordingly).[1]
- The presumption that it was the last ten existing ships is based only on practicality.
- The Armstrong light cruiser subclass is retired.[2]
- USS Boston (NCC-425, Syracuse sub-class) is re-commissioned as USS Einstein (NCC-O425), first of her sub-class.[3]
- Two Hermes class scouts are lost to light Klingon ships while such long range solo missions, in two separate incidents.[4]
- Starfleet decides to never deploy the Hermes scouts outside protective fleets, and instead use them solely as sensor platforms in conjunction with destroyers and cruisers.[4]
- The Hermes class scout starts receiving transporter upgrades.[4]
- After 2230.
- The overhauling of nineteen additional Texas light cruisers is ordered, following 2230's relaunch of USS Rub al Khali (NCC-926).[6]
