Historical Events

  • The Caitian species is encountered by Federation ships.[1]
  • The final Horizon class heavy cruiser is stricken from Starfleet's rolls.[2]
  • Most A6 LSA(P)-44 'Sauk' light atmospheric shuttles had been withdrawn from service.[3]
  • The UFP brings the Humans of Polar City (and other colonies on Rigel IV) into its jurisdiction (but not membership), in order to provide protection.[4]
Background material is per the Star Trek Roleplaying Game, Book 7: Worlds. There's no mention of other races falling under UFP auspices.
  • The B5 HSA(P/C)-20 'Chippewa' heavy atmospheric shuttle is withdrawn from service aboard starships, though continues in planetary assignments, especially at outposts.[6]
  • End of year: The last of the six unmodified Baton Rouge class heavy cruisers, from USS Philadelphia (NCC-1425) to USS Astrakhan (NCC-1430), are retired and mothballed.[7]
This occurred prior to 2250.
  • USS Siva (NCC-520, Siva sub-class) is the first of 51 ships to start receiving refit to the Siva II configuration.[8]
