In the Delta Dynamics-verse, the following governments and agencies own/operate named vessels. The designations they used as prefixes for the ships are as follows:

  • Andorian Imperial Guard - pre-Federation warships were assigned the prefix IGW ("Imperial Guard Warship"); non-combat ships (of the AIG) used the prefix IGS ("Imperial Guard Ship").
Civilian-registered freighters: VCS ("Vulcan Cargo Ship")
Vulcan Defense Force: DFC ("Defense Force Cruiser")
Vulcan Expeditionary Group: VSS ("Vulcan Science Ship")
  • European Space Agency: no prefixes; just named vessels, sometimes accompanied by a missions-series name (ex: Ponce de León - Aventeur II)
  • New United Nations - UNSS ("United Nations Space Ship") for non-enforcement/governmental interplanetary vessels of the United Nations and the NUN’s early interstellar vessels operated by the ISA.
International Space Agency:
mission spacecraft: no prefixes; just named vessels, sometimes accompanied by a missions-series name (ex: Ponce de León - Aventeur II)
rescue/regulatory cutters: IRC("ISA Rescue Cutter" or "ISA Regulatory Cutter")
ISA/NASA - Joint interplanetary missions used USNS ("United Survey and Navigation Ship")
Earth Fleet - EFS ("Earth Fleet Ship")
United Earth Starfleet: UESS ("United Earth Space Ship")
United Earth Stellar Navy: UES ("United Earth Ship")
Star Fleet: USS ("United Star Ship")
Tellar Space Administration: 'TSC ("Tellarite Star Cruiser")
Tellarite Mining Consortium: unknown
National Aeronautics and Space Administration: codes (ex: OV-101), where the letters represented a mission type and the number was for sequentially designating a specific vessel within that mission
United States Air Force: codes (ex: OV-101), where the letters represented a mission type and the number was for sequentially designating a specific vessel within that mission
