• The DY-950 is no longer in service with Star Fleet nor any major corporations. The model would continue to be used by smaller companies and individual traders.

Conjecture

• Betazed is admitted into the United Federation of Planets.

• The last known example of the privately-owned Montcalm/Meridio class liaison craft ceases operation.

• Some Indianola sub-class destroyers start receiving transporter upgrades.

After 2272.

• A rearming of Ashantis and Icaruses is approved; available ships enter drydocks for upgrades.

• Earth Spacedock is completed and operationally replaces Spacedock One.

• USS Avenger (NCC-1860) becomes the first Surya subclass heavy frigate to become operational with a linear-coil upgrade.

• VSS K’Kmarak is recommissioned, following her conversion from the original T'Pari standard.

This introduces the Vulcan Science Directorate's K’Kmarak surveyor.

• The second (of 8) Enterprise subclass heavy cruiser is re-launched, in a conversion run that lasts into 2279.

• Betazed is admitted into the United Federation of Planets as a probationary member (due largely to caste concerns).

• The USS Bader, USS Clifton, and USS Tombaugh (Bader class exploratory cruisers) host a series of Sagan Award recipients for the sixth year, while the USS Akela and USS Crescent retrace old survey routes.

This occurs through 2274.

• USS Jones (NCC-1493, Bader class exploratory cruiser) completes a conversion to Flight III status.

• The CF-268 Talion sublight fightercraft are fully withdrawn from service; the CF-268A Torches are fully committed to training roles.

• The remaining Hellespont class escorts are recalled from convoy missions.

As they are not fully decommissioned until 2277, presumably they served either as reserve vessels or in some other near-base role.

• Star Fleet conducts a biological survey on Tau Ceti IV.

• USS Strider (Ranger class courier) engages Klingon forces, suffering debilitating damage.
